On the 1-st of April, 1956 the production of the first party of hinges of CH-160 was made. It was the beginning of their mass production. From 1957 to 1964 years the complex of building and installation work had been conducting on the first plan of reconstruction of the factory on creation of the specialized production of hinges of cardan transmissions. The factory of «Rostselmash» gave the enormous help in this large and extremely responsible work. On the 1-st of October, 1958 the production of the millionth hinge of CH-160 was made. From October, 1960 for May, 1962 installing and handing over in exploitation of the first automatic transfer line was being made. In a period from May, 1967 for December, 1971 on a project «Giprokombainprowma» was being carried out of building shop of hinges of CH-400. The factory put right the mass production of hinges.

     A supply contract was signed in 1976, and in 1978-1979 10 automatic transfer lines of the firm «Heller» (Germany) on making of forks and cross-pieces of hinges CH-160 power of 2,3 million pieces are over in exploitation. The mechanical-assembly shop was handed over in exploitation in 1985 on the production of hinges of CH-50, CH-63, CH-100 with the production capacity of 800 thousand pieces of hinges. In the period of 1989-1990 the workshop of plastics with the power of 2 thousand tons of processing for production 500 thousand pieces of the protective casing on the cardan shafts of all types and sizes was put into operation.

     The productions capacities had been created by the workers of the factory by the end of  90-s for satisfaction of necessity of the country in these products:

• the hinges of the cardan transmissions — 4461 thousand pieces;
• the cardan transmissions — 350 thousand pieces.

     For the short period of existence the specialized factory «AKSAYKARDANDETAL» grew into one of the front-rank enterprise of industry on the level of technical equipment. The products of Aksay metal-workers were supplied in 13 countries of the world. The network of deliveries was still wider up within the country: 116 factories, 135 bases of the system «Selkhoztekhnyka». The factory was twice awarded the honored diploma of National Standard for the stable production of high-quality products. The factory is the participant of competition of mechanical engineering on unification and standardization of hinges and awarded with small Gold and Silver medals. The sample of the produced products were demonstrated on the international exhibitions «Selkhoztekhnyka». All wares were marked by diplomas. About 200 front-rank workers of enterprise were awarded for high achievements in labour with high governmental rewards; including orders of «Labour Red Colour» — 7 persons, orders of «Friendship of people» — 4 men, orders «Sign of honour» — 13 persons.

     Since November, 1992 the enterprise has been transformed in Join Stock Corporation «AKSAYKARDANDETAL».

     For the last five years on the territory of joint-stock company there were four independent workshops with the additional number of workplaces 250 on production of ensilage harvester for cleaning up of herbages to the combine «Don-680» and reaping parts of «GKS» 4.1, «GKS 5» to the combine harvester the «SK-5 «Niva», and also on production of mowers-flatter to the mounting power «Don-800» by power of 5 thousand pieces a year, press-purveying workshop by power of processing 10 thousand tons of stamping.

     In 1995 there were projected and organized the production of preventive friction muffs on the principles on new good for an enterprise. It is presently tested in «GSKB» SK «Rostselmash» and in the field conditions, in the farms. From 2000 to 2002 the construction of a/c machines — suspension reaping-machines — such as «RMS-5», «GVF-5» for the farms were developed by the leading specialists together with «GSKB», JSC «Rostselmash».

     The mastering of production of cross-pieces and spare parts for the car industry are conducted at active rates: «Zhyguli», «ZIL», «GAZ», «KAMAZ». In 2001 hot-punch presses were flown into exploitation by effort of 1600 t., for production of purveyances of cross-pieces and forks. The constructions of cardan transmissions, developed by the particular branch design bureau of the factory, are certificated by National Standard of Russia and acknowledged at the level of the European standards of the best firms such as «Walterscheid» (Germany) and «Bondioli and Povesi» (Italy). The particular branch designer bureau has a test laboratory on the cardan transmissions accredited on the right of conducting the certification tests of cardan transmissions for a/c machines.

     There is a gymnasium, a medical center on the territory of the factory and on the left bank of the river Don the comfortable rest-house «Dream» is located.
